They’re a great ab exercise for beginners — they’re very safe and easy to learn, but also effective especially for those just starting out with exercise. And although these are a great exercise, you should keep in mind that like any direct ab exercise, they will only build the muscles of your core up. They will not burn the fat on your stomach — no direct ab exercise can do this. So I recommend that you combine this exercise with compound exercises such as the squat, bench press, and military press which will build total body muscle.
