The Best Exercise For A Flat Belly, 3 Things You Must Do To Tighten Your Stomach

You don’t have to do a bunch of crazy ab exercises for a flat belly. The truth is, most ab exercises do very little to flatten your stomach, in fact, they work just like any other muscle building exercise on any other muscle. They stress the muscle forcing it to strengthen and rebuild. This is all ab exercises do, the myth that they can give you a rippling six pack is just that, a myth. So what are the best exercises for six pack abs?
First, get your diet in order, and once you have your eating in line, getting back to the basics of a simple workout plan can do more for your stomach than most fancy ab exercises or ab machines ever will. Doing muscle building exercises will get your body burning more fat which will get your belly flat faster.
Once you have a good exercise plan, you will want to focus on some exercises that will build your ab muscles so that your 6 pack can show as you reduce your body fat.
Here are some of my favorite ab exercises:
1. Squats
Hold the dumbbells or bar at your shoulders and just perform a normal squat. Nothing fancy here because it works your abs just as it is. You see, your abs have to stay flexed and work extra hard to stabilize the weights you are holding. This keeps them working through the entire movement.
2. Mountain Climbers
Mountain climbers are great for lower abs, but they have to be performed at the right rhythm for them to work properly. Get on your hands and toes as if you’re going to do a push up, then, lift one leg to your chest and return it and repeat with the other leg. Keep doing this until you have finished a set.
3. Full Body Crunches
Full body crunches are very similar to regular crunches but with a little extra work added to pump your abs. Instead of just performing a normal crunch with your feet on the floor, extend your legs out in front of you when you bring your head down and pull your knees toward your chest as you crunch forward. You’ll feel it in no time.
If you want to move on to some advanced routines, try cable crunches or weight crunches for a set or two.
The best exercises for a flat belly are those that build muscle and burn fat, but the fact remains that most ab exercises do very little to flatten your midsection. The above exercises will help you get 6 pack abs, but only diet and reducing your body fat let them show through.
